Chapter 1125: No One Is Normal

These past few days, there had been no snow in Cloud County, but the biting wind remained.

The streets were bustling with people, most of whom were bundled up.

However, the woman before him appeared strikingly cool and lightly dressed. A pair of long, straight legs, paired with black lace-trimmed stockings, simply standing there, captured the gaze of every man passing by.

Though she was clearly very beautiful, everyone's attention was invariably drawn to her legs.

The stark contrast between her snow-white skin and the black lace of the stockings made it hard to look away once you saw them.

Such attire on an ordinary woman might easily seem provocative or showy, but on her, it carried no hint of vulgarity.

Combined with her slender, graceful neck and her elegantly coiffed updo, her entire presence exuded an even greater sense of noble coolness and allure.

Upon seeing her, Zu An was both surprised and delighted. “Principal Sister, why are you here?”

With such striking stockings paired with beautiful long legs, who else could it be but Jiang Luofu?

“What, are you not happy to see me?” Jiang Luofu said with a smile.

“Of course I'm happy,” Zu An said, walking over, filled with emotion. “I'm just so happy I can hardly believe it's real.”

“You’re still so sweet-tongued,” Jiang Luofu said, turning slightly to stand beside him. “Shall we find somewhere to sit?”

“Good.” The inn was currently crowded with many eyes and ears, and she clearly had something to tell him.

Zu An led her to a nearby teahouse. Inside, the teahouse was bustling, with groups at each table chatting lively.

But as Jiang Luofu entered, the entire teahouse fell silent for a moment, and every pair of eyes remained fixed on her legs.

Jiang Luofu was long accustomed to this, and naturally, with the click-clack of her high heels, she walked past everyone.

The sound of her heels on the floor seemed to echo in everyone's chests, making their hearts pound.

Zu An admired her greatly. Only Jiang Luofu possessed such a powerful aura to command the crowd. Had it been anyone else, upon seeing such a stunning woman, many scoundrels would have already gathered around.

Watching those beautiful long legs disappear step by step up the stairs, the people on the first floor let out sighs of lingering admiration.

Immediately, the topic at every table turned to discussing who this young woman was, and inquiring about her family background.

“Are you making fun of me?” After they reached the private room upstairs, Jiang Luofu looked at Zu An with a half-smile.

“No, I'm not making fun of you; I'm worried you're cold.” Zu An noticed she was wearing a fur coat and a padded jacket on her upper body, but only a short skirt and black stockings on her lower half. Just looking at her made his own legs feel cold.

“Shouldn't beautiful things be displayed for appreciation?” Jiang Luofu chuckled naturally.

Zu An truly wished he could bring Yan Xuehen over to hear this, thinking about her habit of wearing long pants under her skirts and wondering if that was what a normal person would do.

“Besides, while ordinary people might feel cold dressed like this, what does it matter to us cultivators?” As Jiang Luofu spoke, she shifted her legs, crossing them in a new position.

Zu An paused, startled. He then remembered he had subconsciously worried about Jiang Luofu being cold because Yu Yanluo was sensitive to cold.

That's right, they were all cultivators, so what was a little cold?

Yu Yanluo, despite her high cultivation, was sensitive to cold. That was clearly not normal.

Thinking back, it must be due to her Medusa nature. Snake-kind naturally prefers warmth and dislikes cold, and hibernates in winter.

Though Medusas were more advanced and didn't need to hibernate, they would certainly experience discomfort in winter.

“A transcendent talent is truly terrifying,” Jiang Luofu sighed with emotion. “When I first met you, you had only just begun cultivating. How long has it been, and your cultivation has already surpassed mine?” It felt as if it were a dream; had she not witnessed it herself, she could never have imagined someone's cultivation speed could be so rapid.

Zu An thought to himself that his current level of cultivation wasn't actually due to transcendent talent, but the specifics were difficult to explain to her. “Principal Sister, you flatter me. I still can't catch up to you; your cultivation has also improved very quickly lately.”

Jiang Luofu rolled her eyes. “No need to flatter me. I'm not the type to be jealous of others' abilities. The stronger you are, the happier I'll be.”

Zu An chuckled, and poured her a cup of tea. “Principal Sister, when did you arrive here?”

“I've been here for quite a while,” Jiang Luofu said, taking a sip from her teacup, a hint of amusement in her eyes. “I know quite a bit about your 'exciting' deeds.”

Zu An's heart skipped a beat. Her words made her actions sound rather sneaky.

He quickly said, “Principal Sister, you've come at just the right time. Your fellow disciple is in trouble…”

He then briefly explained Yu Yanluo's identity and predicament to her.

“I came to find you precisely to discuss this matter,” Jiang Luofu said with a sigh. “When Master first sent me to Cloud County, I was somewhat perplexed. I never expected it was for this, and I certainly never imagined Yu Yanluo was the mysterious Sixth Senior Sister.”

Zu An was stunned. The enigmatic image of the Libationer appeared in his mind. He wondered what exactly the Libationer was up to; if he had foreseen trouble here, why didn't he stop it beforehand?

“Your Third Senior Brother is truly merciless,” Zu An couldn't help but complain. “To be so ruthless to his own fellow disciple.”

“Third Senior Brother encountered some things early in his life,” Jiang Luofu also sighed deeply. “I thought he had already perished, but unexpectedly, he not only survived but also advanced further in cultivation. Although he seems drunk all day, few Grandmasters can surpass him in swordsmanship. Third Senior Brother's actions likely have something to do with what he experienced back then.”

“What exactly is his relationship with Manman's mother?” Zu An asked curiously. Their relationship always felt strange to him, and he didn't want to suddenly gain an unexpected father-in-law one day.

Jiang Luofu hesitated for a moment, but then said, “You're not an outsider, so these matters can be told to you. However, you must remember not to spread this, otherwise, it could easily bring disaster to Pei Mianman.”

Zu An was startled. From her words, it seemed there was truly a big secret. “Of course,” he said.

Only then did Jiang Luofu begin: “In those days, Third Senior Brother had exceptional comprehension. At a young age, he had already received Master's true sword art teachings. Master himself commented on him, saying that in time, he was destined to break through to Grandmaster.”

Zu An now understood that while there were many cultivators in this world, those who reached Grandmaster were few and far between. Many brilliant and talented individuals spent their entire lives unable to cross that threshold. Yet Xiao Yao received such an evaluation at a young age, showing how high his cultivation was.

Jiang Luofu quietly recounted the past: “Concerned that his arrogance might hinder his future cultivation, Master sent him out to gain experience in the martial world. Third Senior Brother, with only his sword, made a great name for himself in the martial world; some even called him the Sword Immortal. He was naturally righteous and hated evil, taking it upon himself to eradicate demons and uphold justice. Back then, there were still many remnant demon races causing trouble across the human lands, so he used his sword to slay all manner of evil creatures.”

“That continued until he met Pei Mianman's mother.” Jiang Luofu paused, her beautiful eyes fixed on Zu An. “Do you believe in love at first sight?”

Zu An chuckled, “Like when I first saw Principal Sister in the school office?”

Jiang Luofu's jade-like cheeks flushed faintly. She scoffed playfully, “You truly are a smooth talker.”

Though she said this, she wasn't angry. She continued: “That's how it was when Third Senior Brother first met Pei Mianman's mother. Unfortunately, their identities destined them not to be together. Ultimately, Third Senior Brother chose to remain loyal to his path and made a move against Pei Mianman's mother.”

“Wait,” Zu An frowned. “Didn't he eradicate demons and uphold justice? Why would he make a move against Pei Mianman's mother? Could it be…”

“Indeed,” Jiang Luofu sighed. “Pei Mianman's mother was from the Demon race. Do you remember how special Pei Mianman's fire element power is, the pitch-black Dark Flame? That's an ability from the Demon race, and a very rare one at that.”

Zu An was speechless.

“Heaven, are you playing with me? First Yu Yanluo, and now Pei Mianman? Is there not a single normal woman around me?”
