Chapter 774: Predicting Fate Patterns

Zu An was startled by the series of rage points in the system backend. He wondered how he had offended the Crown Princess and if she was still angry with him at the Eastern Palace.

Had someone gossiped about him to her? He thought he should ask the brothers Pu Duan Diao and Jiao Si Gun next time, just in case he was being plotted against without knowing.

Of course, he didn't realize that the Crown Princess also happened to be there at that very moment.

Just then, a cheerful voice came from ahead: "This road is mine, this tree I planted. If you wish to pass, leave a toll behind."

Zu An was filled with questions. Bandits in the back mountains of the prestigious National Academy, near the Grand Tutor's residence?

He looked up and saw a young girl sitting on a branch of a pine tree ahead. Her slender legs dangled in the air, swinging back and forth, like a neighborhood girl playing on a swing. She certainly didn't look like a bandit.

However, her attire was a bit peculiar: a dark blue dress adorned with numerous white and pale yellow star-shaped symbols. The patterns on her clothes seemed vaguely familiar, but he couldn't recall where he had seen them.

She also wore a pointed hat, very similar to those seen on Western witches in old movies and TV shows.

Yet, there was no hint of wickedness about the girl; on the contrary, she was incredibly sweet-looking. Her eyes were as deep and clear as the starry sky, and her skin had an unnatural pallor, perhaps from a lack of sunlight.

However, this pallor wasn't sickly; instead, it added to her delicate appearance.

Beneath her graceful, slender eyebrows, her bright eyes sparkled with allure. Her two charming dimples were captivating even before she smiled.

She was indeed a very beautiful young girl, but the dark circles under her eyes and her frequent yawns somewhat detracted from her image.

Despite her appearance, Zu An didn't lower his guard. Anyone blocking a road to rob people here couldn't be an easy opponent. He tensed up, quietly preparing for a fight.

"Little junior sister, what are you doing here?" Just then, Jiang Luofu approached her with a mix of surprise and delight.

"Little junior sister?" Zu An recalled Jiang Luofu mentioning that her junior sister studied Ziwei Dou Shu and had the ability to foresee heavenly secrets. He had initially imagined an old witch-like figure—after all, their seniority was based on the order of entry into the sect, not age, so it was possible for a junior to be much older than Jiang Luofu.

He hadn't expected her to be such a beautiful young girl.

It was then that he realized what the patterns on her robe were: a map of the cosmos, showing the positions of stars in the night sky.

The star positions in this world were different from those on Earth in his previous life, which was why he hadn't recognized them immediately.

Then again, even if they were the same as Earth's stars, he, a mere "keyboard warrior," wouldn't have recognized them anyway.

Seeing the young girl's naive appearance, Zu An found it hard to imagine that she could divine heavenly secrets.

Shouldn't those who divine heavenly secrets be old witches or white-haired figures like Zhuge Liang?

"Hello, Senior Sister Eight," the girl said, jumping down from the tree. An astrolabe suddenly appeared beneath her feet, supporting her weight as she slowly descended.

A smile also appeared on Jiang Luofu's face as she said to Zu An, "Ah Zu, let me introduce you: This is my junior sister, Qi Yaoguang. Little junior sister, this is my friend, Zu An."

"Qi Yaoguang?" Zu An thought it was a beautiful name, but he wondered if there was actually a surname "Qi" (Seven) in this world.

Truly, the world was full of wonders.

Jiang Luofu smiled and said, "Does the name sound familiar? The Yaoguang Secret Realm in the Bright Moon Mountain's back area shares her name. I've always thought it was quite a coincidence."

Qi Yaoguang replied, "I've always wanted to see it, but I always miss the chance due to various reasons."

"By the way, why are you here?" Jiang Luofu asked curiously.

Qi Yaoguang answered, "Just now, on a whim, I cast a divination for myself and learned that Master would call me here to stop you, so I came early to avoid his nagging."

Zu An couldn't help but laugh. It seemed the youngest was always favored everywhere. The junior sister's tone clearly showed she was pampered by the Grand Tutor.

"Wait a minute," he thought, "she divined that the Grand Tutor would call her to stop us?"

"Master called you to stop us?" Jiang Luofu was also surprised. "Why?"

"That's right," Qi Yaoguang nodded. "Master has an important guest to see now."

Zu An smiled slightly. "I can wait."

He had too many questions he wanted to ask the Grand Tutor, so he didn't mind waiting a bit longer. He wondered who this important guest could be, significant enough for the Grand Tutor to meet personally.

Qi Yaoguang sighed. "Senior Sister, you always say my emotional intelligence is low, but how is this guy even lower than me? Master saying he has an important guest is just an excuse so you don't lose face. In reality, he just doesn't want to see you, and you're still pestering him."

Zu An: "..."

Damn it, the truth really hurts.

Inside the house, the Crown Princess was also a little surprised. She looked curiously at the profound figure of the Grand Tutor. "Grand Tutor, why won't you see him?"

At first, she thought it was because Zu An's status was too low for the Grand Tutor to meet him.

But then she remembered that his direct disciple had personally brought Zu An, so it didn't seem right for the Grand Tutor to be so dismissive.

"The time is not yet right," the Grand Tutor's ethereal voice replied.

The Crown Princess looked bewildered. What time? She wanted to ask more, but the Grand Tutor ignored her, simply staring blankly at the painting on the wall.

Outside, Jiang Luofu had the same doubt. "Master, why won't you see him? I brought him here because I have something to report to you."

Qi Yaoguang scratched her head and tilted it, looking at Zu An. "I don't understand why Master gave such a strange instruction. Normally, if he doesn't want to see someone, he just doesn't. There's no need to specifically call me here to stop them. What's so different about you, kid?"

"Maybe I'm just more handsome than others?" Zu An ventured.

Qi Yaoguang looked at Jiang Luofu, puzzled. "Senior Sister, is this what high emotional intelligence looks like?"

Jiang Luofu's face darkened. "Don't listen to his nonsense. He's also a prime example of low emotional intelligence."

Qi Yaoguang's eyes lit up, and she looked at Zu An with a hint of familiarity. "So, you're one of us!"

Zu An thought to himself, *I may be adept at certain things, but you don't have that particular skill. Don't flatter yourself by thinking we're on the same level.*

Just then, he heard Qi Yaoguang continue, "Wait, Master's unusual attitude is indeed strange. Let me take a look at your fate."

As she spoke, an astrolabe appeared in her hand. She manipulated it for a moment, then twisted something resembling a clock hand. Immediately, a clear light emanated from her eyes as she gazed at Zu An.

Zu An was startled. "What is she going to do?"

He had previously suffered from the Demonic Eye of Heaven and Jia Sili's illusion, so he worried this might be something similar and immediately prepared to counterattack.

Jiang Luofu reassured him, "Don't worry, this is her ability. She can see a person's future to some extent. When I was hesitating about becoming the Crown Princess, I had her check for me. She said my outcome would be much better if I didn't become the Crown Princess than if I did. Since I didn't want to be the Crown Princess anyway, I simply left. Now, it proves her foresight was correct."

Inside the house, Bi Linglong's expression changed upon hearing this. After becoming the Crown Princess, outsiders saw her as glorious, but she knew the hardship herself. What appeared to be a flourishing life was, in reality, like oil boiling over a fierce fire; a slight oversight could lead to irreversible ruin.

*Was her destiny truly doomed to destruction?*

*No, as long as the Crown Prince becomes emperor in the future, I will be empress. I can certainly defy heaven and change my fate!*

As she thought this, her previously lost eyes instantly hardened with resolve.

She didn't see the Grand Tutor, not far behind her, quietly shaking his head.

Outside, Zu An finally relaxed after hearing Jiang Luofu's words. However, he also felt a little worried, wondering if she would discover his secret of transmigrating.

"Why is it taking so long? What's the result?" Jiang Luofu asked, coming closer to Qi Yaoguang, equally curious.

"How can this be?" Qi Yaoguang looked bewildered. "I can't see through his destiny. All I see are countless peach blossoms."
