Chapter 91: A Textbook Perfect Seduction

"Drunkard's debauchery..." Zheng Dan was momentarily speechless. Why was this guy so unconventional? Other men in this situation would try their best to act like gentlemen, careful not to cause any offense. Yet, this guy seemed afraid people wouldn't know he was lustful.

She quickly recovered, a slight smile gracing her lips. "A virtuous gentleman like you, Master, is naturally different from ordinary men. Besides, you saved my life. How could I ever think of you in such a way?"

Her own words made her feel a little nauseous. No matter how she looked at him, this guy was nowhere near being a virtuous gentleman.

"Oh, so I have such a 'great, glorious, and correct' side," Zu An said, touching his cheek, clearly very pleased with her words. "I didn't even know."

"I'll toast you, Master, to thank you for saving my life." Zheng Dan raised her wine cup, her eyes full of gentle smiles.

Zu An looked at the wine cup before him and couldn't help but hesitate. According to his sister-in-law, the Sang family and the Chu family were natural rivals. The Zheng family was related to the Sang family by marriage, so they were clearly on the same side as the Sangs.

So Zheng Dan's purpose in seeking him out was rather intriguing. Although he was a bit narcissistic, he wasn't so foolishly so.

"You didn't put poison in this wine, did you?" he asked directly. Having been targeted for assassination several times since arriving in this world, he had become exceptionally cautious. Besides, his established persona was straightforward, so he wasn't afraid of being blunt.

Zheng Dan pursed her lips and smiled. "Master, you're joking. You're a teacher at the academy and my savior. How could I possibly poison you? If you're still not at ease, I'll take a sip first."

After speaking, she picked up his cup, took a small sip to show it wasn't poisoned, and then handed it back to him.

Looking at the faint lipstick mark on the wine cup, Zu An's eyes narrowed. This girl's various hints, both intentional and unintentional, indicated a clear honey trap.

But what was she really after? Did she want to get information about the Chu residence from him? Or, because he was Chu Chuyan's husband, did she want to gain a sense of superiority over Chu Chuyan through him?

After pondering for a while, he finally concluded: "It must be because I'm too handsome and dashing. She must be lusting after me. Yes, that must be it."

Zu An raised his wine cup with a smile. "Miss Zheng, you're joking. How could I suspect you of poisoning me? Come, come, let's drink!"

Zheng Dan rolled her eyes, thinking, *I wonder who just said that? This guy's shamelessness is truly astonishing.*

Zu An watched what dishes she picked up with her chopsticks and then followed suit. But as soon as he tasted it, his eyes widened. He couldn't help but exclaim, "Miss Zheng, your cooking is truly amazing! I've never eaten anything this delicious before."

Let alone in this world, even in his previous one, he had never tasted such exquisite cooking. Though his previous world had a rich variety of cuisine, as a mere "keyboard warrior," what good food could he possibly have afforded?

Zheng Dan couldn't help but feel a little surprised. "Master, you're too humble," she said. "How could my humble cooking compare to Miss Chu's?"

Although he knew she was subtly trying to sow discord between them, Zu An still huffed indignantly. "Her? What cooking could she possibly do?"

*Not to mention she doesn't know how; even if she did, she wouldn't cook for me. Every time she looks at me, it's like she's looking at a stranger. I don't even know why she married me.*

The more he thought about it, the angrier he got, so Zu An picked up his wine cup and drained it in one gulp.

Seeing him like this, Zheng Dan's lips curled slightly. She didn't mind subtly undermining Chu Chuyan. *Hmph*, she thought, *isn't it just because she's the Duke's daughter? Otherwise, why would she always get the upper hand on me?*

"With cooking skills like yours, Miss Zheng," Zu An exclaimed genuinely, "whoever marries you in the future will truly be blessed!"

Zheng Dan pursed her lips and smiled. "If Master likes it, I'll cook for you every day from now on."

Zu An was startled. Her hints were becoming increasingly obvious. This woman was truly a master of flirtation, always able to make men's hearts pound and minds wander.

"You can't possibly cook for me for a lifetime, can you?" Zu An replied. "General Sang would probably get jealous later."

Zheng Dan hummed in acknowledgement. "It would indeed be inconvenient once I'm married," she said. "But then, Master, you can often visit our home as a guest. With your knowledge, I'm sure Sang Qian will certainly become good friends with you."

Zu An inwardly exclaimed, "Amazing!" From beginning to end, despite all her flirtatious hints, this woman never crossed any line. By deliberately bringing up her engagement to the Sang family, she appeared even more like a gentle, respectable woman. This, paradoxically, only heightened a man's desire for conquest.

Zheng Dan knew when to stop, not wanting to linger on that topic. She quickly said, "Oh, Master, among those questions you and Master Yang wagered on earlier, there's one I still don't quite understand. Could you explain it to me?"

"Explain a question to you?" Zu An's expression immediately became very strange. A single man and a beautiful female student, coming to a teacher's home for private tutoring... it felt a bit like those "little movies" he used to watch in his previous life.

"I know it's a bit abrupt," Zheng Dan said, opening her beautiful eyes wide, her gaze as innocent and delicate as could be. "But I genuinely enjoy arithmetic, and if there's a problem I don't understand, it keeps bothering me. So, I had to trouble you, Master."

*Is that what you call enjoying arithmetic?* Zu An thought. *I'm too embarrassed to call you out on it.*

Despite his internal thoughts, Zu An still asked quite kindly, "Which question don't you understand?"

"It's that red-eyes, blue-eyes problem," Zheng Dan asked. "Why would the five red-eyed people all commit suicide on the fifth day after the tourist spoke?"

Zu An explained, "For problems like this, you can use the method of induction, trying it day by day. If there's only one red-eyed person, they would realize they are the only one and commit suicide on the first night. That's very simple.

"If there are 2 red-eyed people and 98 blue-eyed people:

Day 1:From a red-eyed person's perspective: They see 1 red-eyed person and 98 blue-eyed people. They confirm there's 1 red-eyed person, but aren't sure if they themselves are red-eyed.From a blue-eyed person's perspective: They see 2 red-eyed people and 97 blue-eyed people. They confirm there are 2 red-eyed people, but aren't sure if they themselves are red-eyed.Result: No one commits suicide on the first night.

Day 2: Everyone knows there's more than one red-eyed person in the group. From a red-eyed person's perspective: They see 1 red-eyed person and 98 blue-eyed people. They confirm there are only 2 red-eyed people in the group, and realize they themselves are red-eyed.From a blue-eyed person's perspective: They see 2 red-eyed people and 97 blue-eyed people, and are not sure if they themselves are red-eyed.Result: The 2 red-eyed people commit suicide on the second night.

"If there are 3 red-eyed people and 97 blue-eyed people:

Day 1:From a red-eyed person's perspective: They see 2 red-eyed people and 97 blue-eyed people. They confirm there are 2 red-eyed people, but don't know if they themselves are red-eyed.From a blue-eyed person's perspective: They see 3 red-eyed people and 96 blue-eyed people. They confirm there are 3 red-eyed people, but don't know if they themselves are red-eyed.Result: No one commits suicide on the first night.

Day 2: Everyone knows there's more than 1 red-eyed person in the group. From a red-eyed person's perspective: They see 2 red-eyed people and 97 blue-eyed people. They confirm there are 2 red-eyed people, but still don't know if they themselves are red-eyed.From a blue-eyed person's perspective: They see 3 red-eyed people and 96 blue-eyed people. They confirm there are 3 red-eyed people, but still don't know if they themselves are red-eyed.Result: No one commits suicide on the second night.

Day 3: Everyone knows there's more than 2 red-eyed people in the group. From a red-eyed person's perspective: They see 2 red-eyed people and 97 blue-eyed people. They confirm there are 2 red-eyed people, and realize they themselves are red-eyed.From a blue-eyed person's perspective: They see 3 red-eyed people and 96 blue-eyed people. They confirm there are 3 red-eyed people, but still don't know if they themselves are red-eyed.Result: The 3 red-eyed people commit suicide on the third night.

"...and so on. Following the same logic, when there are 5 red-eyed people, they will all realize they are red-eyed on the fifth night and commit suicide together."

"So that's how it is!" Zheng Dan exclaimed, suddenly understanding. "I originally thought it was so, so difficult, but with your explanation, Master, it seems so much easier now. You're amazing, Master."

"You flatter me, you flatter me," Zu An said, cupping his hands politely. Although her flattery was a bit insincere, hearing such words from a beautiful woman in that tone was still quite pleasing.

Using this question to open the conversation, the atmosphere between them grew increasingly harmonious. As Zheng Dan poured wine for Zu An, her wrist gave a slight tremble, and she accidentally dropped a chopstick to the floor.

"Oh dear~" Zheng Dan exclaimed, quickly bending down to pick it up.

Zu An had been about to help pick it up, but he withdrew his hand. Just as he was about to say something, his eyes suddenly widened. As she bent down, her neckline slightly widened, revealing a patch of dazzlingly white, delicate skin, and faintly, a charming cleavage could be seen.

And because she was turned sideways, her dress slightly slipped from her shoulder, revealing a small part of her translucent, jade-like shoulder, as if emitting a dazzling halo.

"This woman is definitely doing it on purpose!" Zu An swallowed hard. *Trying to use her beauty against me? Doesn't she know I'm famously immune to such charms?*

Zheng Dan picked up the chopstick, her face slightly flushed. While the skill of a honey trap comes naturally to any woman, using it against a man for the first time was still a bit embarrassing.

The two chatted for a while longer before Zheng Dan stood up to take her leave.

Zu An, unsure of her ultimate intention, quickly stood up. "I'll see you out," he offered.

"Thank you, Master," Zheng Dan said, nodding slightly. Then, with a flick of her wrist inside her sleeve, a corner of her skirt fluttered as if by magic and fell directly at Zu An's feet. She then took a step forward.

*Rip!* A crisp tearing sound rang out as Zheng Dan let out a small cry and stumbled to the ground. Her skirt was torn halfway open, revealing a pair of fair, smooth, jade-like legs. She sat there on the ground, looking flustered as she tried to cover her exposed skin, but how could a single pair of hands possibly conceal such long legs?

This posture of trying to cover herself yet still revealing made her appear even more alluring and vulnerable, evoking an uncontrollable sense of pity in any man who saw her.

Zu An blinked. *Does this woman think I didn't see her deliberately tucking her skirt under my feet just now?* Looking at the fair, exposed legs before him, he had to admit that, whatever her scheme was, this woman was really going all out.
