Chapter 4929: Safety First Wang Yong'an

Honglian Market is located in the interior of the Xuanling Continent.

It is one of the five major markets under the Wang family's jurisdiction. Its excellent geographical location attracts numerous merchants and travelers.

The streets were bustling with people and noisy with carriages and horses, creating a very lively atmosphere.

In a secluded small courtyard with grey tiles, Wang Yongqian was speaking with Wang Yong'an. Wang Yongqian held a glittering spiritual orb in her hand, her expression one of excitement.

“Brother Yong'an, our opportunity has arrived.”

Wang Yongqian excitedly explained that a clan member had discovered an ancient cultivator's cave dwelling. They had broken through the outer restrictions but were unable to breach the core ones, so they returned to report the situation to her in desperation.

“An ancient cultivator's cave dwelling? Isn't it a trap set by evil cultivators? Such situations are not uncommon. They often offer minor benefits first to lure high-level cultivators to break the restrictions, then capture them all in one fell swoop.”

Wang Yong'an, being very cautious, voiced his suspicions.

“If we bring a few more Divine Transformation stage clan members and are careful, it should be fine, right? This must be the meditation cave dwelling of a Void Refinement cultivator; there are surely many valuable treasures inside.”

As Wang Yongqian finished speaking, her eyes sparkled with anticipation.

Wang Yongqian was at the mid-Divine Transformation stage, while Wang Yong'an was at the late Divine Transformation stage.

“It's better to be cautious. Let's report it to Ancestor Yi'er and the others. Safety comes first; treasures are only valuable if you're alive to enjoy them. Don't let greed cloud your judgment.”

Wang Yong'an advised her, planning to report the matter to Wang Yi'er.

“Brother Yong'an, I know you're cautious. But if we report it to Ancestor Yi'er, even if there are treasures, we won't get much. How about we go together? That way, we can get a larger share?”

Wang Yongqian was reluctant to let go of the opportunity within their grasp.

“Eight Nascent Soul cultivators attacked it for almost half a month but couldn't budge the core restrictions. It's very likely a sixth-tier formation. We shouldn't go and join the excitement. If there's danger, not only will we be unable to help, but we'll also become a burden to Ancestor Yi'er and the others. Just report it to the clan elders; safety comes first.”

Wang Yong'an explained. Since childhood, countless clan members had invited him to seek treasures, but he had always refused.

One failure could mean his death and the end of his cultivation path; he couldn't afford to lose. The family now had excellent development prospects and could even provide the resources needed by Void Refinement cultivators. Wang Yong'an didn't want to take unnecessary risks.

Unless it was an exceptionally precious cultivation resource, but in that case, there would be even less need for him to get involved.

“Well... alright. I'll listen to you.”

Wang Yongqian hesitated slightly, then agreed.

Wang Yong'an immediately took out a green communication disk, injected a magic incantation into it, and respectfully said, “Ancestor Yi'er, we have an urgent matter that requires a personal report.”

“An urgent matter? Come here and report.”

Wang Yi'er's voice came from the communication disk.

Wang Yong'an agreed, and he and Wang Yongqian left the small courtyard. They arrived at the entrance of a vast estate, pushed open the gate, and entered.

After passing through a long corridor, they stopped.

Wang Yi'er, Wang Zongque, and Wang Gonghu were sitting in a red stone pavilion, conversing.

Wang Yong'an and Wang Yongqian were about to salute, but Wang Yi'er stopped them, saying, “Dispense with the formalities; just state the urgent matter!”

Wang Yong'an acknowledged and recounted the entire sequence of events.

“An ancient cultivator's cave dwelling?”

Wang Gonghu frowned, half-believing, half-doubting.

Some evil cultivators intentionally set traps to lure cultivators to seek treasures, then activate formations to kill them.

“Zongque, you stay in the market. Yi'er, Yong'an, and I will make the trip. I hope it's not a trap set by evil cultivators. Yong'an is a formation master; he can guide us in breaking the restrictions. We will leave soul-sending talismans, and if they spontaneously combust, Zongque, report it to the family immediately.”

Soul-sending talismans are similar in principle to life-bound soul lamps. If they encounter an accident, the soul-sending talismans will spontaneously combust, and Wang Zongque will know immediately.

If it is indeed the meditation cave dwelling of a Void Refinement cultivator, two Void Refinement cultivators, given enough time, should be able to break the restrictions. This also ensures they can look out for each other if they encounter danger.

Wang Zongque nodded and agreed.

Wang Gonghu, Wang Yi'er, and Wang Yong'an left Honglian Market and hurried to their destination.

More than half a month later, they appeared above a vast, emerald green mountain range stretching for tens of thousands of miles.

According to their intelligence, this was the Tianwu Mountain Range, where the mist was relatively dense. There were not many fifth-tier demonic beasts, and no sixth-tier demonic beasts had ever appeared.

They flew towards the northwest, their speed not particularly fast.

After about the time it takes to steep a cup of tea, Wang Yong'an stopped and said, “Ancestor Gonghu, Ancestor Yi'er, to be cautious, let's set up a teleportation formation here. It might come in handy. Safety first.”

Wang Gonghu pondered briefly, then agreed.

Wang Yong'an plunged down towards a small valley below and flew into a cave within it.

A short while later, Wang Yong'an flew out of the cave and followed Wang Gonghu and Wang Yi'er deeper into the mountain range.

Along the way, Wang Yong'an set up three sets of teleportation formations and three sets of fifth-tier defensive formations. Even if they encountered a powerful enemy, if the formations could hold for even a single breath, it would give them a greater chance of escape.

Wang Gonghu and Wang Yi'er said nothing. Wang Yong'an was known for his caution, and his nickname, "Safety Cultivator," was not given lightly.

More than half an hour later, they appeared above a narrow, elongated valley. Vegetation was sparse within the valley, and the ground was scattered with numerous white crushed stones.

Wang Yi'er flew down into the valley and quickly approached a steep stone wall. He took out a yellow glittering formation flag, and with a gentle flick of his wrist, the flag disappeared into the stone wall.

The stone wall trembled slightly, glowed with dazzling yellow light, and revealed an opening about ten feet wide. Wang Yi'er walked inside.

After walking for over a hundred steps, a cavern about an acre in size appeared before him. Inside the cavern were several green stone stools, and the stone wall on the left glowed with dazzling golden light. Behind the golden light was a simple stone door.

Wang Yi'er activated his Dharma Idol and attacked the golden light.

After a series of rumbling explosions, a large amount of crushed stones rolled down from the stone wall, but the golden light remained unmoving.

Wang Yi'er hesitated slightly, then sought help from Wang Gonghu.

Wang Gonghu entered with Wang Yong'an, who then carefully observed the golden light.

“This appears to be the Qianjin Spirit-Locking Formation. Once trapped by this formation, even a Void Refinement cultivator would find it difficult to escape.”

Wang Yong'an stated his opinion.

“Let's break the restrictions. Don't hold back.”

Wang Gonghu said in a deep voice and activated his Dharma Idol to break the restrictions.

The three of them jointly attacked the golden light. Continuous booming sounds erupted as various spiritual lights intertwined.

More than an hour later, accompanied by a deafening roar, the golden light dispersed, and the stone door was shattered into pieces. A simple stone chamber, over a hundred feet wide, appeared before them.

In the center of the stone chamber lay a humanoid skeleton. On its left bony hand was a green storage ring. Upon closer inspection, more than half of the remains had turned black, and two ribs were broken.

Wang Gonghu extended his divine sense widely, meticulously probing, and found nothing unusual.

He released a humanoid puppet, which walked into the stone chamber and removed the green storage ring from the skeleton.

Wang Gonghu took the green storage ring, gave it a gentle shake, and as a streak of green light flashed by, a pile of items appeared on the ground.
