Chapter 1434: Ten Days Hovering in the Air

"Tang Valley?" Zu An was startled; the name seemed somewhat familiar.

The Great Wind explained, "In the eastern sea, there's a place called Tang Valley. Within Tang Valley, a giant Fusang tree grows, and the ten Golden Crow brothers perch on it. They emerge one by one in rotation, passing through Mount Qu'a, Zengquan, Sangye, Yuzhong, Mount Kunwu, Niaoci Mountain, Bei Valley, Nvji, Yuanyu, Lianshi Mountain, and Beiquan, finally reaching Yuyuan, which is the land of the sunset."

"Wait, the Golden Crows are still coming out one by one in order?" Zu An was taken aback and quickly asked.

"Of course, if they didn't come out in order, wouldn't the earth be scorched?" The Great Wind seemed unable to understand why he would ask such an obvious question.

Zu An and the others exchanged glances. Their current mission was to retrace Yi's heroic journey, and Yi was most famous for shooting down nine suns when all ten appeared simultaneously. Having passed through so many trials, these remaining nine suns were clearly their final challenge.

Yet, now they learned that the Golden Crows were still appearing in sequence. Didn't that mean they hadn't caused chaos yet? How then could they complete their mission?

They finally remembered that they had indeed experienced the alternation of day and night within this secret realm over the past few days, but there had never been a scene with ten suns appearing at once. They had taken this for granted before, but now realized that this 'normalcy' was the greatest abnormality.

The Great Wind was unaware of their shock and continued:

"Tang Valley is located deep within the vast Eastern Sea. In that sea, countless powerful demonic beasts and fierce creatures reside. With your current strength, I'm afraid you won't be able to reach it safely."

"What should we do then?" The group didn't doubt its words. Although Yan Xuehen and Yun Jianyue had recovered most of their powers, they knew that if they encountered the octopus monster again in the deep sea, their chances of victory were slim, as the ocean was its domain.

And in this vast ocean, there was clearly more than just that octopus monster; who knew what other terrifying beings existed?

Zu An, however, looked at the Great Wind: "We hope you can guide us."

The Great Wind's tone seemed to imply something hidden.

As expected, the Great Wind puffed out its chest, a look of triumph on its face, its expression practically screaming, "Beg me, beg me!"

Yu Yanluo, skilled at reading people, immediately cooperated, pleading softly.

Although Yun Jianyue was usually arrogant, the Demonic Cult prioritized practicality. She knew that if they couldn't complete this heroic journey, they might be trapped and die here, so she also joined in with flattery.

However, she was accustomed to being superior, so her gentle words were rather stiff, far from Yu Yanluo's warm and charming demeanor.

As for Yan Xuehen, her nature simply wouldn't allow her to do such a thing. She opened her mouth but ultimately said nothing.

The Great Wind nodded in satisfaction at Yu Yanluo, then a few feathers on its wing suddenly became finger-like, pulling Zu An aside: "Kid, that snake-tribe girl has the sweetest tongue. The long-haired human woman sounds disingenuous; I felt embarrassed for her. And that white-clad woman with the red sash is too cold; she seems to look down on me."

Zu An awkwardly replied, "You've misunderstood; she didn't mean that."

The Great Wind said, "Since you have the Ancestor's inheritance, you're one of us. I'll tell you something personal: in the future, that snake-tribe woman can be the main wife, the long-haired woman a concubine, and that white-clad woman with the red sash can be a maid at most, just to curb her arrogance."

Zu An broke out in a cold sweat, thinking, "If you knew about my other confidantes, what positions would you assign them?"

"Senior, do you actually have a way to get to Tang Valley?" He hadn't expected the Great Wind to be so gossipy and could only steer the conversation back.

"If anyone else asked me, I wouldn't bother, but since you're one of us..." The Great Wind pondered for a moment, then plucked a feather from its body. "Hmm, take this feather. The method of use is as follows... It will help you cross the vast sea and reach Tang Valley."

Zu An was overjoyed. He took the feather and immediately felt it imbued with the essence of wind and an unparalleled sense of divinity. "Thank you, Senior!"

"Forget it, forget it, don't call me Senior. You have the Ancestor's inheritance; perhaps your seniority is even higher than mine. From now on, just call me Little... *cough, cough*," The Great Wind had originally thought of letting him call it Little Wind, but that seemed too undignified, so it quickly changed the subject. "Oh, and don't say I didn't warn you. It's fine to go to Tang Valley to see the world, but whatever you do, don't provoke those ten Golden Crows, or they'll burn you to ashes."

"Thanks for the warning." Zu An gave a wry smile, wondering what the Great Wind's reaction would be if it knew he was going there precisely to deal with the Golden Crows.

He had initially wanted to inquire about the Golden Crows, but then realized that would be too obviously targeted. If the Great Wind feared implication and took the feather back, that would be troublesome.

Besides, the Demon Emperor was also a Golden Crow, so he had already learned most of what he needed to know.

With these concerns, he ultimately did not ask.

Returning to the three women, they curiously asked what the Great Wind had just told him.

Zu An took out the feather, and the three women also looked delighted.

However, Yan Xuehen quickly realized something was off: "He seemed to be talking about me just now. The way he looked at me felt strange, almost... disdainful?"

Yun Jianyue also frowned slightly: "Indeed, his gaze towards me seemed somewhat pitiful?"

"Uh, you must have seen wrong." Zu An was at a loss for an explanation when he suddenly gasped, "Don't you feel like it's getting hotter?"

"It certainly is getting hotter." Yan Xuehen, with her icy skin and jade bones, was most sensitive to temperature. She instinctively looked up and was suddenly startled.

The others also looked up, discovering that there seemed to be one more sun in the sky, then two, three... until finally, ten suns stretched across the heavens.

The ground temperature rapidly increased, leaves and flowers shriveled and withered, river water began to boil, and fires erupted everywhere.

Ten suns ablaze in the sky!

"Have these Golden Crows gone mad?" The Great Wind stared in shock at the scene. It had just been talking about how the Golden Crows followed the rules, only to be proven wrong so quickly.

"Oh my god, I can't take it, I can't take it! My feathers are about to catch fire! I need to find shelter. Kid, I'm outta here!" As soon as the Great Wind finished speaking, it vanished into the distance. From afar, they could see smoke rising from its entire body, as if it had waited any longer, its feathers would have caught fire.

Zu An and the others were drenched in sweat. Zu An was so hot he even took off his upper garment: "Why was everything fine just now, and suddenly there are ten suns in the sky?"

"Something special must have happened." Aside from Yan Xuehen, who practiced ice-element techniques and was slightly better off, Yu Yanluo and Yun Jianyue were so hot they loosened their collars and fanned themselves continuously. Those glimpses of white only made Zu An feel even hotter.

Meanwhile, in some unknown valley far away, the Demon Emperor's face was ashen. If Zu An and the others had seen him, they would have been greatly alarmed.

The usually majestic emperor had never been so dishevelled. Moreover, his left arm was completely severed!

Golden blood dripped continuously.
